What is a basic website?
My most basic package is a static three-page site. This includes the design of a basic "look and feel" of your site, plus three static
web pages. This is the basic, "brochure" style site.
What is a dynamic web page?
Dynamic pages interact with your visitors and/or allow you to make custom updates on demand without knowing HTML. They include web-based forms and
database-driven pages. For instance, I can create a calendar of events that you can update, a form for collecting customer information, password-protected
pages, shopping carts, etc.
What do you mean by "database connectivity"?
A database stores data in a format which can then be pulled out using custom criteria. Database connectivity makes possible a shopping cart, a dynamic

Can I purchase ad-free hosting without purchasing web design services from you?
Yes! You do not have to purchase any design services in order to take advantage of my low-cost ad-free hosting!
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Hosting is available on a per month basis. I request thirty days notice before cancelling your hosting service, but you may cancel
with no penalties.
What if I need more storage space/transfer bandwidth/email addresses?
In addition to my basic package, I can sell "extras" on an a la carte basis. In addition, if you have a special need, I can work with you on a
custom quote for services.
How do I update my site?
For sites designed by me, there are three options: dynamic sites can be designed such that you can do updates; if you know some HTML and you are comfortable
doing so, you can edit sites yourself using free software; or you can pay me at my hourly rate to do updates. Non-commercial family sites are
automatically dynamic for updating text and pictures; any other changes are subject to the former three options.
If you are purchasing hosting only from me, I will provide you with a username and password to FTP your files to your domain. I recommend Filezilla FTP software, which is available for free from SourceForge.net. I can assist you in downloading, installing, and configuring the software so that you can update your site as easily as possible!
